Cannot believe haven't posted for a month!

Sjoe! Been hectic and still am. Went floating down the Danube, busy writing a story about it now and haven't stopped for one second, not even on the cruise which was fab but not one bit relaxing. (Guess that is also me, always doing this and that.... )
Anyway, had the usual hassles with my arm when travelling abroad. It swelled up a little, and in fact I spent most of my holiday wearing a compression sleeve. Tomorrow see The Lymph Lady - just to be measured, as she has had an op on her arm and cannot do the massage till next month - and that will determine if I can take it off. But must say it does feel fine now, and it's evening, so intend not to wear the damn sleeve tomorrow.

Took a local flight and....

Went to Cape Town to see my dad. Think the combination of pushing him around in the wheelchair - how he now gets around when he goes out - plus the two short local flights (2hrs each way), have messed up my arm a little. Oh, and the fact that I had a little bit of an eating spree shortly before I left. And that little weight gain - 1and a half kilo - is bad for my arm.
Plus I didn't exercise on Monday 'cos was away (usually gym on Mondays), then didn't go today because had to go a funeral and had to make up the time (funeral of a 40-year-old former colleague and mother of two boys aged eight and six who died from an anneurism). Then cannot go tomorrow (well, want to go, but need to collect tickets for a jazz festival from the city centre and The Yoga Man has just persuaded me to miss tomorrow as I am on deadline at work and under pressure...
He has also told me that whenever I fly, I complain that my arm is up.
And it really is. It is slightly warmer during the day - but freezing at night and at the moment am glued to the heater - and put on a short-sleeved knit top this morning, and the bloody thing pinched slightly on my arm. I immediately took it off and threw it back into the cupboard.
Anyway, was over-eating cos was doing it compulsively (look, had one day of had eating and am sure will look the weight within a day or two) and that is also linked to why I haven't been writing: been preoccupied with something which is not related to health issues and isn't anything I want to write about. Not life-threatening so nothing to worry about; just something I need to sort out and which has made me super-stressed. And it's not relationship hassles either... anyway, all will be resolved.

a quick word

My goodness. It is past midnight and am seeing The Lymph Lady at 8.30am tomorrow (a change of plan, as usually at gym then) and still have to do lymph massage now.
Just to say my arm is not feeling great. Not too bad and did wear a shirt rather than a t-shirt today (haven't worn a shirt in years) and it felt ok, but did feel slightly thicker in the upper arm when got to yoga tonight.
Just praying that it is either in my imagination only, or else it's a minor aberration. As much as it is winter here now and so wearing a sleeve wouldn't be as bad as if it was summer, am doing a yoga workshop all day on Saturday and would be most perturbed if had to do it in a long-sleeved t-shirt and with limited mobility cos of the sleeve. Ag, as The Yoga Man says, I need to distinguish between what is "ok feeling funny" and "not ok feeling funny" as often I swear my arm is swollen and then The Lymph Lady measures it and it's fine. Oh well....

super-duper pissed off

My arm both looks and feels terrible. I keep hoping that I am imagining it but don't think so. Last week it was perfect and I pranced around feeling fantastic. Now my left arm feels particularly wobby. And looks thick, plus it was up on Monday when I saw The Lymph Lady.
I will be in despair if I have to wear the compression sleeve. Part of me wants to wear it for a few days to bring my arm down; the other part of me thinks: just enjoy your last days free of a compression sleeve 'cos if it's up on Monday when I see The Lymph Lady, it'll be a compression sleeve for me.
Am praying that it's nothing.
